ReplyI had this problem as well on my Huawei Ascend G6 after installing the latest system update to a newer android version.
ReplyTo fix it I simply had to change the default storage location in the device's storage settings to the sd card.
The update changed it from sd card to internal storage. After setting the default storage location back to sd card all my broken apps work again, and I can also download any app again.

ReplyCache clearing solved the issue.
Clearing Play Store cache fixed the problem. Thanks for the advice!
ReplyI don't know your device model, but the easier fix, real fix, isn't wiping all your data and saves and pics, or a factory reset. That's all last resorts. The issue is in the dalvik cache usually or you have issues in your Google apps themselves. Be smart, and root the device. Then you can format any partition you feel like, but be careful of course and read on here or xda forums. All the needed firmwares and softwares are free. H u can use titanium backup to literally save all your user app and system app data and just restore all but Google play store, Google play services and Google play framework (you can try going to setting and apps then over to all and wipe the cache, data, and then force close all three of those and hen reboot, it sometimes helps yet no one here mentions it, and it will fix the error associated with Samsung devces saying storage is full when updating even when it isn't). The CWM, TWRP, PHILZ Touch or any custom recovery you can format any partition, but of relevance here is wiping the cache and then under advanced in CWM/PHILZ you can safely wipe the dalvik cache also and fix a lot of the play store errors right now there without losing ANY data. It's also very quick to do. The device has a long reboot and say 'Android is upgrading' while it rebuilds the cache and dalvik but without errors or corruption of data. You can also create an entire e backup or Nandroid which creates literally an exact number image of f your device state. Then if a more serious error occurs you can restore it to a prior state. It's all.let like backing up in time :) The solution listed here 'might' help some, but these are real and long term tools to maintain your device. This will Also free up storage space, a lot of it, and keep the faith vice ru ning like new.
ReplyI cleared my cache and nothing. I don't even have an sd card in this phone. Idk what to do 😡😠😤
ReplyThanks brother. It worked.
ReplyHey guys, I just cann't download the hearthstone app, but i can still download other apps, any ideas to why this is happening?
Replytake it out and check if it works. If it still doesn't work then probably you wont need to format your SD Card. If it works without the SD card then you might just have to back up all the information on your SD card to some place and then format it.
ReplyHelped me too
ReplyI KNOW HOW TO SOLVE SIMPLY JUST GO TO APPS/GOOGLE PLAY STORE/AND CLEAR DATA AND FORCE STOP... THEN DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT FROM ACCOUNTS IN YOUR SETTINGS AND REBOOT PHONE. OPEN GOOGLE PLAY STORE AND ADD YOUR ACCOUNT AND PROGRAM/GAME WILL DOWNLOAD :D :D
ReplyDon't work
ReplyThanks a lot! I'd spent ages trying to install the Yahoo Mail app without success but your instructions (1&2) have sorted it out for me.

Google store 492
ReplyRooting is risky, but rooting an Android device is the best way because you can access hidden files so that we can fix this problem without resetting our phones. Just make sure you don't touch unknown files, because if you do, you are happening to play with an important file that the phone needs to work properly and bricked your device.
ReplyI tried unmounting my SD Card and it worked.

Replythis problem occur when updating facebook , i tried all the above . i found that the only way to install facebook is to change the default write disk from SD card to phone storage . remember that SD card is not full , is that mean SD card is corrupted ?
ReplyNo, Apps like Facebook, Whatsapp and few others don't allow installation on SD Cards that is why sometimes users get errors. Simple solutions is to change default download location from SD card to Phone storage.
