For example, if you have a Windows home installed and a product key of Professional edition; You need to know if your home edition can upgrade to Professional edition. This is to eliminate the possibility of error 0x800f0805.

Open Command prompt of Windows PowerShell as Admin.

Restart your System if you want. Now, go to the activation again and see if necessary changes were made. 

Solve Error 0x800f0805 while Updating Windows 10

Method 1: Run Windows Update Troubleshooter.
